The Need For Quality Cat Fountains
Before we realized the great need for truly healthful, beautiful, high quality fountains for cats, we were creating handmade ceramic fountains for home décor. We still are.
Seeing the abundance of cheaply made, unattractive, hard to clean and downright harmful cat fountains online, after some study we modified our home decor fountain designs to address cats’ needs and drinking preferences while providing an attractive and truly healthful alternative.
Home Decor Cat Fountains
Now, every ThirstyCat fountain is created to be a beautiful piece of ceramics as well as a thoroughly satisfying and effective cat fountain. From our our wheel-thrown bowls and hand-formed, carved and glaze-painted center pieces to our in-house created glazes, we strive for quality and beauty.
If we wanted simply to make handmade, healthful ceramic cat fountains, that would still require considerable work, but would not be nearly as involved as making fountains for cats that are at the same time visually and aurally as pleasing as, for example, the fountain shown above.
Harmonies & Focal Points In Home Decor
Placed to harmonize with the outdoors just outside the window, both by it’s color and organic, graceful form, this fountain clearly serves as both a healthful cat fountain and a home decor fountain. It blends with the adjacent environment and serves as well as a focal point within the home, offering pleasing visuals, moving water and aural delights. And this is how we intend for these fountains to be used, pleasing felines and home owners. Thus our motto: Health For Your Cat, Beauty For Your Home.
Focal Point, Harmony, Livliness & Contrast
This next fountain was one of our earlier cat fountains, now serving solely as a fountain for home decor; providing a focal point, a textural contrast and a color harmony within the setting.
It also provides a bit of livliness with the water rising up within the Piazza basin and sliding over the sides with delicate water sounds.
THE FOUNTAINS BELOW are also placed for maximum effect and exposure in the home. Relying on cats great love of (and need to) jump and climb, they are on elevated surfaces where the cats may slake their thirst and survey their world below.
