The glaze is Galaxy which reads black but please enlarge the images to enjoy the zillions of gold spangles throughout. Water fills the Piazza and slips silently over the edge with no splash. Your cats can drink from the Piazza basin and the bowl. Uses the ceramic insert to soften the flow or leave it out for a bubble-spout. Great for longhair cats and short-faced cats.

This fountain does not take either of the Cat Taps.
