Water flows up onto the leaf and into the bowl in a pleasing stream and no splash. Your pets can drink from the leaf, the stream and from the bowl. You might want to click the images for a better view of the glaze which is Bottle Green. The fountain comes with the ceramic mini-leaf you can use to soften the flow.

This fountain does not take the Cat Taps.
