We’ve had our ThirstyCat Fountain for 4-5 years now, and it’s still going strong! Due to my heavy handed scrubbing once per month, the glaze is starting to get thin in some areas, but it’s still perfectly functional & beautiful. Our 5 cats prefer the fountain over any other water bowl we’ve ever provided. As you can see in the photo, one of our cats, ‘Milo’, especially loves his bubble up drinking fountain! You won’t find a better built cat fountain anywhere, that lasts for many years, and is absolutely adored by your kitty family! THANK YOU Keith & Jackie!!!

NOTE FROM THIRSTYCATS – The glaze doesn’t get thin. It is part of the fountain inseparable from the ceramic body. What happens is mineral deposits, specifically calcium, builds up if you have hard water and makes it appear the glaze is wearing. It isn’t. Simply clean with 1 tbs. salt to 1 cup white vinegar and the calcium will completely vanish. HERE IS A POST ON THAT.

When I decided to get a cat, I got a plastic fountain. I was ok with it, but it was huge and my one cat was a tiny girl. I had a neighbor with several pets so I gave it to her and got another plastic fountain. FULL of corners, tall, never got it clean. I didn’t know what to do. I don’t remember how I found this site. And swallowed a few times over the prices. But I ordered a small purple bubble up. My little old lady was attracted to to all the fountains, no problem. And then one day I dropped her food dish right on the fountain! She was sick and soon thereafter was confined to my bed. So I gave her all her water in a dish til I put her down. But I knew I wanted to get another cat and one day. browsing the site I saw a beautiful little fountain. I think it was intended to be an essential oil diffuser. But it had a small, straight-sided bowl that I thought would be hard to break accidently. So I bought it. And when I got my next cat, I already had a fountain for her. She had no problems with it either.
I have always given my cats the same filtered water I drink. But I have very hard water and do have a problem with calcium deposits on my fountain. I soak it in vinegar to get them off.

Beautiful , high quality craftsmanship. Amazing customer support. It feels as though good hearted people are creating these precious fountains to gift to our precious kitties. Very easy to clean and I can now serve fresh spring water to circulate. My adult cat loves the fountain stream to drink from and it’s at the perfect height. It’s quiet trickling water noise is soothing and I can adjust the flow of water from the pump. My cat loves it and it makes his feeding area more elegant. I am grateful to have discovered this amazing and unique establishment that creates safe and beautiful water fountains.

I’ve owned my Thirsty Cat Fountain for several years now, and it’s still going strong! (a testament to it’s high quality). Cleaning it is simple & usually takes less than 10 minutes. With human grade ceramic glaze,- I never have to worry that there is any harmful chemicals leaching into my pet’s water. (any vet will tell you to avoid using plastic vessels to feed or water your pets) We have 6 cats and this fountain has become a necessity in our home for their health and happiness. All of that said, it’s also gorgeous! Guests always comment about how pretty & quiet our running fountain is.

I ordered this fountain Monday and it has arrived today, Friday! Packaged wonderfully & secure, very happy with the purchase so far. Though the investment is real, I do love that it’s hand-made by artisans, and built to last a LONG time. Plus, I just love pottery & it’s a gorgeous piece!! I’ve washed the bowl & pump cover, added water and plugged it in. The pump is SUPER quiet, btw, barely noticeable…truly!! Now we wait to see if my 3 furbabies will take to it, fingers crossed! I had been researching different pet fountains for several months but there was something wrong with all of the them. I knew plastic was not good for kitties and most fountains on the market either had too many parts, they quit working too soon or weren’t able to be cleaned thoroughly. I also knew that ceramic was the way to go but I could never find one that was right until I accidentally came across Thirsty Cat Fountains during my research.

I looked at their entire website, read different reviews and even researched them on Google to find out all I could. I also contacted them with several questions, all of which were answered without hesitation. The price was a bit out of my range at first but I realized that you get what you pay for and this Fountain was the first one that really caught my eye as it had everything I needed. I knew I had to get one for my boy no matter what it took for me to do so. Although I liked several, I narrowed it down to one and ordered it.

It arrived within a few days all in one piece as it was obviously packaged with care. It was gorgeous and I couldn’t wait for my boy to be able to use it!

Not only has it been easy to clean and safe for Brendan but he loves it as much as I do. He meows for me to hurry up while cleaning so he can get it back even though I give him a bowl of water to drink from in the meantime. Even when it is close to being full, I can add a little bit more and it will entice him to drink more at that moment. I feel like he drinks more water with this fountain in general and that makes me happy. The quality and time making this fountain with the best design in mind makes it definitely worth the price and customer service can’t be beat. This is the only type of water fountain my boy will ever have. I’m glad I spent the money and gave it a chance. It’s everything I expected and more!

I have six fountains from thirsty cat fountains. One of my fountains was 10 years old and I needed to replace the pump. I also had the ceramic cord cover and needed to get a new one made to match mine. I sent an email and within one day I had a response. Within two weeks they had custom made a ceramic cord cover and sent me a new pump. Did not charge me for getting a new cord cover. I went to the website and on the FAQ It gives instructions on how to install a new pump with video and it was very helpful.
These fountains are amazing. I’ve never had any problems and the only reason this cord needed to be replaced is because I’d used it so much it started become loose. Thank you so much for a great product and super fast service.

I bought my cat fountain at least 5 years ago, and only recently has the pump started to act up. I came on this site and see that they have replacements for a very reasonable price but they also offer troubleshooting advice, which shows integrity. This has got to be the best purchase I have made for any animal… ever! I will let you know if the troubleshooting works, but none-the-less this fountain, and the company, deserves 5 stars!
